First, I work with you ahead of time to understand what you like and don’t like about having your photo taken. That allows me to craft a comfortable, low-pressure shoot that focuses on your good angles and expressions.

Second, I use simple, clean backgrounds and flattering lighting so the focus stays on you. I also coach you through different poses and expressions so you see yourself looking polished and confident.

Finally, I take lots of shots so we have options to choose from. With some guidance on selecting the photos you like best, you’ll end up with headshots that capture you at your very best.
How much retouching do you do on the photos?
I personally retouch the image(s), you select from your headshot photo session. All the images throughout my website are examples of my retouching. Retouching a headshot properly is an art in itself. The key is for an individual to look natural (polished) and realistic. It’s differs from filters that make an individual look completely different that are used for entertainment like on Snapchat. Professional retouching lightly softens skin, wrinkles, slight teeth whitening and reduce stray hair. My aim is enhancing natural beauty, not overdoing it!
What if I don't like my smile or look awkward?
Do you shoot on location or just in studio?
Should I do my own hair and makeup?
I do recommend wearing basic makeup and having your hair/facial hair professionally styled if possible for best results. I recommend using your regular hairstylist since that individual is familiar with your style and preferences. Since your final headshot is retouched basic makeup is fine.
