“Baby” enjoyed looking at my portrait photography!
Pet photographer Robert Berger said, “This portrait I did of my bird “Baby” brightens my living room. Baby loved everyone and was so gentle. He would make up his own sentences that made sense. He would say” I’m a big, big, big, big, baby. He then made up the sentence, I’m a “very pretty” big baby. During the photoshoot, he flew towards me like a stealth bomber, so I had to put him back in place to get this portrait. He preferred that I hold him, but he did pose by himself very well. He enjoyed making people laugh. Cockatoos have the intelligence of a four-year-old child. Baby passed away in 2019 due to complications from Hurricane Harvey. I am so glad that I took the time to do his “formal printed portrait. My portrait of “Baby” feels like his wonderful spirit is alive and he is in my home where he still should be. Every animal has an uncompromising love of the family or person who raised them. It never wavers or changes.”
